Favorite Broccoli Salad

Most broccoli salads I have tried use a good amount of mayo, making it heavy on the stomach and difficult to take to potlucks or keep out in the summers. This broccoli salad which I came across on Cookie and Kate is light, crunchy and perfect for the summers! This salad is best paired with a tangy honey mustard dressing that doesn’t over power the flavor and crunch of the broccoli.

Typically it is a garden salad, but on occasion I will try to jazz things up and make something different. Sometimes the new salads are met with ‘seriously mom, beetroot salad?‘, and other times, they are eaten up without a word! This one is a family favorite!

Four Super Smoothies!

I have always loved making smoothies, and was recently gifted a ‘NutriBullet’ as a birthday present! Best birthday present ever! Smoothies are quick to make, filling, and if you add the right ingredients, – nutritious too! (Just FYI, I classify chocolate as a very nutritious ingredient!). And what’s more, they even look pretty!

The last couple months, I have over indulged in the holiday season with multiple turkey dinners and sweet treats galore! So this past week, I tried to get back on track, by making smoothies for either breakfast or lunch. Here for you are some of my favorite ‘go-to’ smoothies.
