Four Super Smoothies!
I have always loved making smoothies, and was recently gifted a ‘NutriBullet’ as a birthday present! Best birthday present ever! Smoothies are quick to make, filling, and if you add the right ingredients, – nutritious too! (Just FYI, I classify chocolate as a very nutritious ingredient!). And what’s more, they even look pretty!
The last couple months, I have over indulged in the holiday season with multiple turkey dinners and sweet treats galore! So this past week, I tried to get back on track, by making smoothies for either breakfast or lunch. Here for you are some of my favorite ‘go-to’ smoothies.
Triple Berry Smoothie
An Introverted BloggerIngredients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 3/4 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- kiwi and mint for garnish optional
Instructions
- In the jug of your NutriBullet or blender add all your berries.
- If using the NutriBullet, fill to the max line with orange juice.
- Blend completely and serve with a garnish of fresh green kiwi.
Notes
Pineapple Coconut Smoothie
An Introverted BloggerIngredients
- 1 fresh pineapple cored skin removed and cut into chunks. Alternatively you could use canned pineapple chunks or a combination of both.
- 3/4 cup cold coconut water
- 1 frozen banana
- 1-2 Tbsp sweetened shredded coconut
- A pineapple cup and cherry optional for serving
Instructions
- In your NutriBullet or blender combine the pineapple chunks, frozen bananas and sweetened shredded coconut.
- Add your coconut water to the max line if using your NutriBullet, or approximately 3/4 cup.
- Blend together till smooth.
Notes
Banana Berry Smoothie
An Introverted BloggerIngredients
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 1 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
- 2 Tbsp of old fashioned oatmeal
- handful of fresh baby spinach
- 1 Tbsp of flax seeds optional
- 2 Tbsp of yogurt greek or probiotic
- Milk dairy of choice- almond or skim milk
- Sweetener of choice optional honey or sugar
Instructions
- In your NutriBullet or blender, add all the ingredients except milk.
- Add milk according to the consistency you desire. I prefer a thicker smoothie, so I add just enough to blend.
- Blend until smooth and serve immediately with some fresh blueberries.
Notes
Chocolate Banana Smoothie
An Introverted BloggerIngredients
- 1 banana cut up and frozen
- 2-3 heaped Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

- 2 Tbsp dark 60% good quality chocolate chips Star Ingredient! I use Ghiradhelli
Instructions
- In your NutriBullet or blender, combine bananas, cocoa powder, peanut butter, coffee, and yogurt.
- Add enough milk to blend together.

Loved your berries recipe, will have to try it soon😬.
My smoothie recipe is basically 1 frozen banana, 1/2 hass avocado, 6 almonds or 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup cold water ( you can add later depending on the consistency you like), 1/4 cup fresh blueberries, 1tsp of chia seeds, 1tsp organic honey( optional). Then I top it with some walnuts and sunflower seeds. Yummy! Try it.
Sounds divine! Will give your recipe a try! I made a smoothie bowl yesterday with an avocado and berries. That turned out good too!
Lol looks great but all forbidden fruit for me right now! InshaAllah one day:))
I do love the nutribullet too. Thanks for telling me about it!!!
I’ve read that the NutriBullet is very versatile. You could try soups and dips in it as well. I am eager to try hummus with the NutriBullet. I heard it turns out really good! If you try out anything new – do share!
Interesting. Im tempted to try soon especially the choco banana for the kids
Do try it out! I sometimes add half an avocado in it to make it creamier and kids don’t complain about the taste!
